Peaceful Coexistence Forum for South and East Darfur Localities began in Gereida.

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the Peaceful Coexistence Forum began in Gereida, South Darfur. The forum brought together representatives of traditional administrations, youth, and women from the Gereida, Tulus, and Al-Salam localities in South Darfur, with their counterparts from Yassin, Asalaya, and Al-Fardous localities in East Darfur.

 The goal was to reduce conflict between herders and farmers and promote peaceful coexistence among the participating communities.

The forum was organized by the Durrat Al-Salam Association in partnership with CDPO.

 This is part of the Enhancing Opportunities for Women and Youth to Contribute to Peace and Security in South and East Darfur Project.
