“Salam Nisu Sawa” initiative, in partnership with the Community Development Organization, organized a forum to promote social peace among the various communities of the Jabra area from September 12th to 13th, 2025, in the Jabra area of Mershing locality, South Darfur State. The forum successfully developed a roadmap for peaceful coexistence among the region’s social groups, particularly pastoralists and farmers. Participants included representatives from local administrations, pastoralists, farmers, women, youth, and local authorities. The forum also successfully established an early warning and conflict resolution committee.
This initiative falls under the project “Enhancing Opportunities for Youth and Women to Contribute to Peace and Security in South and East Darfur.”
