On Thursday, the Community Development for Progress Organization signed an early warning network project to reduce conflict between herders and farmers in the localities of Bielel and Niteiga in South Darfur State with the Higher Coordination for Nomads and Herders, with funding amounting to 280,000 Sudanese pounds, To fund an initial activity by bringing together a number of herders, farmers, local authorities and native administrations in a two-day workshop to discuss methods, means and possibilities of early warning and opportunities for intervention in conflict between herders and farmers during the agricultural season.
