From December 19 to 20, 2025, the Community Development for Progress Organization organized a training workshop in Rehaid Al-Berdi, South Darfur, entitled "Strengthening the role of grassroots assistance groups in learning and harvesting results، It included representatives from ten grassroots assistance groups in the localities of Rehaid al-Berdi and Amdafouq, as part of its ongoing organized efforts to strengthen the role of grassroots civil society and build its capacities in the areas of community organizing, voluntary work, and improving mechanisms for responding to local problems. The workshop targeted representatives of 20 grassroots assistance groups (grassroots civil society groups) with the aim of enabling them to develop skills in planning, monitoring, data collection, and analyzing the results of community interventions, in order to ensure the efficiency of local initiatives and enhance their impact on the ground. The workshop addressed several key areas, including: Grassroots planning mechanisms based on community participation. Participatory learning methodology, results analysis, report writing, and improving coordination between grassroots groups and supporting institutions. This was all within the framework of the project to enhance opportunities for youth and women to contribute to security and peace in South and East Darfur.
