On December 28, 2025, the Jad El-Sayed Emergency Room, in partnership with the Community Development for Progress Organization, completed the provision, installation and operation of a solar power system for the Jad El-Sayed water station in Abu Karnka locality, East Darfur State, which includes a large number of returnees and displaced persons from various conflict zones in Sudan. The Minister of Social Welfare for East Darfur State, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Radi, attended the inauguration of the water station.
This comes as part of the fourth phase of the project to mitigate the effects of war on those affected by the conflict in South and East Darfur.
Sudan Community Progress Development Organization (SCPDO) is non-profit organization that was established in 2023 and an independent legal entity falling under the humanitarian voluntary work act and registered in National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organizations in Uganda (NBNGO) and is part of Community Development for Progress Organization (CDPO) in Sudan.
