The Sons of North Nyala Initiative, in partnership with the Community Development Organization for Progress, concluded the implementation of a project to maintain 6 water pumps in North Nyala. On December 27, 28, 29, and 30, 2025, water pumps were serviced in the areas of Shadida, Tanqalani, Tana, the Yara Administrative Unit headquarters, Dama, and Halouf, which are part of the Yara Administrative Unit in Merishing locality, South Darfur. This was part of the fourth phase of the project to mitigate the effects of war on those affected by the conflict in South and East Darfur.
