To our sisters, mothers, and daughters…
CDPO says to you:
Your health matters to us, and our message is for all of you.
Breast cancer is treatable when detected early; it is fear that harms us more than the disease itself.
Our recommendations for you this October:
First, stay in tune with your body:
Every month after your period, stand in front of the mirror and examine yourself. If you feel a lump, notice a change in appearance, or experience unusual pain, do not stay silent.
Second, screening is not a luxury:
If you are over 40, an annual mammogram is crucial. If you are younger, self-examination and a doctor’s check-up are enough to put your mind at ease.
Third, break the barrier of fear:
There is no shame in screening. It is an act of love for yourself, your children, and your family. Early detection saves lives in over 90% of cases.
The Community Development Organization is with you, and we want to remind you:
You are not alone; we are with you every step of the way.
If you are well, help raise awareness among others.

We also want to tell our brothers, fathers, and sons that breast cancer doesn’t just affect women—it affects men too. Yes, it affects men. So, stay tuned as we share a series of articles and awareness posts about breast cancer. Wishing health, safety, and well-being to us all. 🩷🩷🩷🩷
