Sudan Community Progress Development Organization (SCPDO) is non-profit organization that was established in 2023 and an independent legal entity falling under the humanitarian voluntary work act and registered in National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organizations in Uganda (NBNGO) and is part of Community Development for Progress Organization (CDPO) in Sudan.

OUR MISSION: To contribute to building peace and transformation via community engagement, sustainable development, advocating for human rights, women and youth empowerment, and direct involvement in humanitarian relief.

OUR OBJECTIVES
01 Contributing to building sustainable peace and development
Stand up against injustice: Speak out against human rights abuses and protect human rights.
Encourage dialogue: Create spaces for open, respectful conversations about issues affecting the community.
Build Capacity: Provide training to communities on their rights and how to advocate for themselves.
Empower Voices: Create platforms for marginalized voices to be heard and amplify their stories.
Advocate for Diversity: Support and promote policies and practices that foster diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Build Coalitions: Work with other advocates, organizations, and communities to create a united front for human rights.
03 Empowering women, youth, and affected communities
Skills development: life skills training on leadership, communication, and building confidence and independence.
Economic empowerment: business skills programs, micro-finance, grants, and mentorship.
Using the technology to be more innovative: creating platforms where youth can share and learn and express their skills.
04 Promoting democracy and freedom of journalism
SCPDO will ensure that democratic principles are upheld and communities are actively engaged through:
strengthening institutions: by supporting a fair and independent judiciary to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law.
Encouraging participation and youth engagement in polities and civic activities.
05 Providing services like health, water, education, and food to communities
As part of the emergency response plan, SCPDO will ensure that the needs of the affected communities are met through lifesaving programs, water, food, health, protection, etc.
