The number of cholera cases reached 243, with 45 deaths.

The Kalma IDPs Camp Volunteer Unit, in partnership with CDPO, with support from Saferworld, organized a cholera prevention campaign from July 28 to July 31, 2025.

The campaign provided health advice on how to prevent the disease, as well as supporting health centres (Health Centre 8, Alight Centre 6, I.M.C. Centre 2, Health Insurance Centre 4, and Red Cross Health Centre 1) with disinfectants and distributed soap to 531 families in Kalma IDPs Camp in South Darfur.

This is part of the Alleviating the Effects of War on Conflict-affected people in Darfur, Phase III Project.
