The Athar Community Initiative, in partnership with the Community Development for Progress Organization, continued the rehabilitation, maintenance, and cleaning of the bathrooms at Hajar Primary and Intermediate School in Al-Jir neighborhood of Nyala city on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 23-24, 2025.
The project includes environmental sanitation and hygiene, restoration of old toilets, maintenance, installation, and water connection for new toilets, along with awareness campaigns among female students on the importance of maintaining toilets, how to use them, and water conservation. This is part of a project to mitigate the effects of war on those affected by the conflict in South and East Darfur.
Sudan Community Progress Development Organization (SCPDO) is non-profit organization that was established in 2023 and an independent legal entity falling under the humanitarian voluntary work act and registered in National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organizations in Uganda (NBNGO) and is part of Community Development for Progress Organization (CDPO) in Sudan.
