In August 2026, the Community Development for Progress Organization organized a training workshop on combating gender-based violence, supported by the Darfur Civil Society Platform in East Darfur State. The workshop addressed concepts of gender-based violence, identifying its various forms, referral pathways, safe support, and mechanisms for assisting and supporting survivors. It also covered concepts of protection and confidentiality, raised awareness regarding community-based protection and advocacy, reinforced the "Do No Harm" principle, and advocated for activating the community's role in providing support.
Sudan Community Progress Development Organization (SCPDO) is non-profit organization that was established in 2023 and an independent legal entity falling under the humanitarian voluntary work act and registered in National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organizations in Uganda (NBNGO) and is part of Community Development for Progress Organization (CDPO) in Sudan.
