On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the community dialogue sessions in the local administrative units of Bilel, organized by the Bilel Women’s Initiative in partnership with the Community Development Organization, concluded. The final session of four dialogue sessions organized in the areas of (Abqirajl, Marir ‘Marla, Bilel Unit) was attended by a number of executive directors, native administrations, and representatives of the security services of the local authorities, in addition to representatives of herders and farmers from the four administrative units in Bilel locality in South Darfur. The session resulted in the formation of a mechanism for early warning, conflict resolution, securing the agricultural season and the safe passage of herders. The mechanism included farmers, herders, native administrations and local authorities.
This is part of a project to enhance opportunities for young people and women to contribute to security and peace in South and East Darfur.
